This is an attempt at a collage of lots of British things that I love and really appreciate. I obviously had to leave a lot of things off, but each picture really represents more than just what it contains. The few pictures of comedy panels, or comedians, represent the love I have for many many British comedians and comedy shows, sketch shows, and sitcoms. The architecture, landscapes, etc. are also indicative of far more than just what they show, but a broad love and appreciation for the beauty that the UK has created. There are a few pictures from shows such as Doctor Who, Sherlock, and even Pride and Prejudice. These represent, again, my love for various types of British entertainment. Pictures of people such as the Beatles, Will & Kate, Charlie Chaplin, etc. are meant to show a few famous people from the UK that I happen to like, but represent that broad spectrum of wonderful/interesting people from this incredible place.

Alright guys, I’m going to risk losing some of my directioner followers, but I have to say it. This is just plain stupid. If One Direction has helped you grow in your love of the UK/Ireland, that’s great - but to say that it’s the only thing you love about it is just so wrong. I’m not saying this just because I don’t like One Direction, I’m saying it because I’m tired of people only liking the union jack/flag or the UK because it makes them think of 1D. Before you say you love this place, you need to have a better reason than simply liking a boy band whose members live in it/near it. The UK/Ireland doesn’t deserve this. It’s created Doctor Who, Sherlock, some of the best comedy in the world, incredible actors, comedians, authors, (Shakespeare anyone?) and yes - musicians, and it boasts some of the most beautiful landscapes and architecture on the planet. If you’re a directioner - please, rethink this and love the UK for its true treasures.
